A Sea of Lime Green

Do you stop to smell the roses, or photograph the chairs? How often do we get to appreciate how truly vibrant and interesting our surroundings are?

Sometimes, things become more special because we choose to see them that way. Although lime green chairs row by row is pretty wonderful, it took a photographer’s eye to really capture it.

Real Life Yellow

yellow tunnel

We don’t often get to see bright, vibrant yellows out in the real world. It isn’t exactly a common color choice for buildings or fences. Just the occasional sports car.

So it’s fairly exciting to encounter something as bold as this yellow tunnel in Stockholm.

What’s the most unusual place you’ve seen yellow?

The Gray Inukshuk

Inukshuk Sculpture, Nanaimo

In some parts of the world, the ocean is never a beautiful aqua blue. In fact, sometimes it’s downright dingy. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful anyway.

And what better backdrop for a rock sculpture than moody gray?

A Technicolor Christmas

the pink christmas tree!

Like rules, one of the great things about traditions is that you can break them. Although it’s nice to pass down a ritual through the generations, it’s also fun to bust out of the norm and do something really outrageous.

By now, the pink Christmas tree isn’t uncommon, but it is fun to see something a little more out of the ordinary. Even when we love red, white and green during the holidays, a splash of color can inspire a lot of smiles.

If you could have a quirky tree in any color, what would it be?

Pink is one of nature’s most interesting colors. Wherever there is pink, there is something wonderful to see – from newborn puppies to beautiful flowers.

Bright, vibrant shades of pink like this one are often reminiscent of exotic places. Where else could you find hot pink parrots, fuchsia flowers, and electric sunsets?

The Red Door

Nothing beats red for making a bold statement. It’s no wonder that a house with a red door is an image that stands out for many writers and artists. Who could forget such a stunning sight?

The perfect shade of red on this building is even more memorable because of the contrast of white trim and green vines. The combination looks rustic and luxe all at once.
